Itinerary

Day 01 :
Entebbe / Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Accommodation: Buhoma Lodge, Bwindi Forest
Meal Plan: Lunch, Dinner [L, D]

Your journey begins with a morning pick-up from your hotel or residence in Entebbe or Kampala. After a warm briefing by your safari driver-guide from Nomad Touring Company Ltd, hit the road southward, bound for one of Africa’s most extraordinary wilderness areas—Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.

En route, enjoy a stop at the Uganda Equator for striking photo ops, some shopping at the local artisan stalls, and a chance to stretch your legs. Continue toward Mbarara where we break for a tasty local lunch. As you drive deeper into Uganda’s scenic highlands, the landscape transforms—rising into rolling hills cloaked in banana plantations, tea estates, and misty valleys.

Arrive at Buhoma Lodge, tucked within the forest edge of Bwindi, in time for check-in, dinner, and a relaxing evening listening to the calls of the wild echoing through the forest canopy.

Day 02 :
Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi & Batwa Cultural Encounter

Accommodation: Buhoma Lodge, Bwindi Forest
Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner [B, L, D]

After an early breakfast, proceed to the park headquarters for a comprehensive gorilla tracking briefing from Uganda Wildlife Authority guides. Assigned to a gorilla family, your trek into the forest begins—winding through thick vegetation, tangled vines, and moss-draped trees. The trek may take anywhere from 1 to 6 hours depending on the gorillas’ movements.

When you finally encounter the mountain gorillas, the experience is nothing short of magical. Witness silverbacks commanding their domain, juveniles tumbling through the undergrowth, and mothers cradling their young. This one-hour encounter is strictly regulated and deeply moving—a face-to-face moment you’ll cherish for a lifetime.

After returning to the lodge for a well-earned rest and lunch, the afternoon brings a guided visit to the Batwa community. Learn how these forest-dwelling people lived in harmony with the jungle for generations before conservation efforts relocated them. Watch traditional dances, listen to tribal songs, and gain deeper insight into their ancient survival techniques and beliefs.

Return to the lodge for dinner and a quiet evening surrounded by the forest’s nocturnal symphony.

Day 03 :
Bwindi to Entebbe / Kampala

Accommodation: End of Tour
Meal Plan: Breakfast [B]

After breakfast, say goodbye to the rainforest as you begin your scenic return drive to Entebbe or Kampala. Along the way, we’ll stop for a cultural lunch at Igongo Cultural Centre—a vibrant facility preserving the heritage of Uganda’s southwestern communities.

Later, we cross the equator once again, pausing for final souvenirs and photographs before continuing toward the city. Expect to arrive in the late afternoon or early evening, where your guide will drop you at your residence, hotel, or Entebbe International Airport for your onward flight.
