The trek takes you through rugged lava terrain, dry forest, and finally along the steep crater rim with breathtaking views of Lake Naivasha and the Rift Valley floor.

Day 01 :
Nairobi – Mount Longonot – Nairobi

Morning pickup from Nairobi hotel or airport.

Scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley escarpment (approx. 1.5 hrs).

Arrive at Mount Longonot National Park Gate.

Begin the trek up the mountain:

  • Initial climb through dry forest inhabited by buffalo, giraffe, and antelope.
  • Reach the crater rim with stunning panoramic views.
  • Optional full circuit hike around the rim (approx. 7–9 km) for a complete experience.

Picnic lunch at the crater rim with views of Lake Naivasha.

Descend back to the base and exit the park.

Afternoon drive back to Nairobi.

Drop-off at hotel/airport in the evening.
