Itinerary

Day 01 :
Arrival in Nairobi

Accommodation: The Sarova Stanley Hotel, Nairobi

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you’ll be met by our Nomad Touring Company representative and transferred to the historic Sarova Stanley Hotel, nestled in the heart of vibrant downtown Nairobi. This colonial-era hotel blends elegance and comfort, making it the ideal base to begin your East African safari.

Dinner tonight is at your leisure, either within the hotel or at one of Nairobi’s celebrated restaurants. Overnight at The Sarova Stanley Hotel on a Bed & Breakfast basis.

Day 02 :
Amboseli National Park

Accommodation: Ol Tukai Lodge, Amboseli
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

After breakfast, depart Nairobi for Amboseli National Park, arriving in time for check-in at Ol Tukai Lodge—renowned for its front-row views of Mount Kilimanjaro and its central location inside the park.

In the afternoon, embark on a game drive through Amboseli’s unique ecosystem of swamps and dry savannah. Keep your camera ready for elephants bathing in papyrus marshes, hippos, buffaloes, and a rich variety of water birds.

Later, unwind with sundowners at the lodge’s bar, browse the wildlife library, or relax by the pool. After dinner, enjoy an optional Maasai cultural performance or wildlife talk.

Day 03 :
Amboseli National Park

Spend a full day exploring Amboseli National Park, a UNESCO-designated International Biosphere Reserve. Begin with an early game drive across the plains, home to jackals, hyenas, baboons, antelope, and—if lucky—lion, leopard, or cheetah.

Climb Observation Hill for panoramic views of the park and majestic Kilimanjaro. Between drives, enjoy the lodge’s amenities or opt for a guided nature walk with bird-spotting—over 150 species inhabit the lodge grounds alone.

All meals served at the lodge, allowing time to reflect and review the day’s photos.

Day 04 :
Lake Naivasha

Accommodation: Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

After breakfast, journey via Nairobi and descend into the spectacular Great Rift Valley, arriving at Lake Naivasha in the afternoon. This scenic freshwater lake lies at the highest elevation of the Rift’s chain of lakes and is framed by volcanic landscapes including Mount Longonot.

Check in at the tranquil Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge, with time to relax by the pool, explore the lakeshore, or take an optional boat ride to spot hippos and a variety of water birds including cormorants, kingfishers, and fish eagles.

Day 05 :
Lake Nakuru National Park

Accommodation: Lake Nakuru Lodge

Today, drive further down the Great Rift Valley past Lake Elmenteita and into Lake Nakuru National Park for a morning game drive. This is Kenya’s top rhino sanctuary, and its alkaline lake attracts hundreds of bird species including flamingos, pelicans, and storks.

Check in at Lake Nakuru Lodge for lunch, followed by another game drive in search of the park’s unique blend of wildlife, including Rothschild’s giraffe, leopards, and baboons. Return for sunset views, a swim, or optional cocktails before dinner.

Day 06 :
Masai Mara Game Reserve

Accommodation: Mara Sopa Lodge, Masai Mara
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

After breakfast, journey across the floor of the Great Rift Valley to the legendary Masai Mara Game Reserve. Arrive in time for lunch at the Mara Sopa Lodge, then head out for your first afternoon game drive across the park’s rolling plains.

Known for its rich concentration of wildlife, including big cats and large elephant herds, the Mara is an iconic destination for both photographers and nature lovers. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 07 :
Masai Mara Game Reserve

Accommodation: Mara Sopa Lodge, Masai Mara
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Enjoy a full-day safari in the Masai Mara, one of the world’s most celebrated wildlife reserves. With a wealth of grazing animals like gazelles and wildebeest, the Mara supports large populations of predators including lions, cheetahs, and hyenas.

If traveling between July and October, you may witness the Great Wildebeest Migration, a spectacle of movement, chaos, and survival that draws photographers from around the world. Optional cultural visit to a Masai village can be arranged (extra cost).

Return to Mara Sopa Lodge to relax and relive the day’s unforgettable sightings over dinner.

Day 08 :
Return to Nairobi & Departure

Accommodation: None
Meals: Breakfast & Lunch

After an early breakfast and a short final game drive (time permitting), depart the Mara and head back to Nairobi. Upon arrival, enjoy a farewell lunch at the iconic Carnivore Restaurant, where barbecued meats from ostrich to crocodile are served in a festive, open-air setting.

After lunch, our representative will transfer you to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and assist with check-in for your onward flight.
